Confession Information and form

Sin effectively separates us from God and the Church.

God knew that weak humans would need to be cleansed from sin and in His mercy the apostles were given the right to forgive sin in the name of Jesus provided that we repent and confess our sins before God and the Church (nowadays by confessing to a priest, who is the legitimate representative of the Church).

This right was passed onto their successors, i.e. the bishops and priests, who continue to remit the sins of those faithful who are truly sorry and have a firm resolve to not sin again. Confession is necessary also to gain the guidance and assistance of the priest who is trained to do so. As such, confession is also referred to as a "second Baptism".

Our confession form is under development and will be released shortly.
